DAY 25—God is perfecting His Love in us for whatever we may face in life.

 

We may never see God, but we can know Him. We can know Him even as we know our own life. We never see our life, but we know life. God gives Himself to us to permeate our whole being. He enters our mind, our emotions, our will, our conscience. Thus, He becomes the framework of our whole inner man. He becomes our Life. It is when we allow Him to be this in us that who we are revolves around Who He is. What He is doing becomes what we are doing. The marvel is that where we go, He goes in us. What we face, be it a joyful thing or a difficult trial, He faces it in us.                                                  

I John 4:12-16—No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and His Love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the Love that God hath to us. God is Love; and he that dwelleth in Love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

John 1:18—No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him. (He has set forth in detail what He is like.)

DEAR LORD JESUS, I praise You for letting me know what God is like. I now believe You came from the bosom of the Father. Now we can know You living in us. And we can know ourselves alive in You. Oh, please let this communion that Your grace is offering us become increasingly real in us!
